Lincs Reservoir Site Walkovers / Surveys
As you are aware, we have ongoing ecological survey works associated with the proposed Lincs Reservoir.
I’m writing to update you on our forthcoming schedule of works:
Soil Surveys
We are currently carrying out soil surveys and these will be ongoing until early May.
Industry Approved Badger Territory Mapping
In early March we will start carrying out industry approved badger territory mapping. This will be ongoing until mid-April.
This survey requires the use of small colourful plastic pellets which will help us with tracking badger movements. If you get asked about sightings of these small pellets, please let people know not to be concerned. We ask that these pellets are untouched and remain in situ.
Landscape Site Walkovers
We will be carrying out landscape site walkovers using public footpaths between 12 and 14 March 2024. If you see people in high vis using these footpaths, they’re likely to be our surveyors. However, if in doubt, please do encourage people to stop and ask them where they are from as our team will be carrying Anglian Water Keep in Touch cards as well as ID.
These surveys are non-intrusive, so will have minimal impact to the local community, however, the badger and soil surveys will involve our surveyors walking over land where we have agreed licences for access.
