4. Chairman’s Report
Chairman Cllr G Hotchkin reported that all in all it had been a good year. He extended his thanks to retiring Councillor Malcolm Ternouth for all of the hard work and dedication he has shown as a Parish Councillor.
The conservation area looks lovely with the new bench now in place, creating a peaceful place to sit, with a further bench being erected on The Green. As ever the grass around the village and the general appearance looks better than it ever has done; Thanks to CJP Garden Services, as ever Chris Pell consistently goes above and beyond his contract.
After an extreme amount of work and lobbying by Parish Councillors, especially Cllrs Julie Frizzell and George Frizzell and with great thanks to County Councillor Andrew Key and the cooperation of Rowan Smith from Highways, Burton Road from Station Road to Burton Pedwardine has now been resurfaced; Also the Station Road footpath was finally completed. There are still some issues with the churning up of the verge which the Parish Council will continue to pursue.
The Chairman concluded his report by thanking all Councillors for their work during the year, once again Cllrs Frizzell for the amount of work they undertake for the Parish Council and Julie Dixon as Clerk.
