Dear Councilors and residents.
My name is Nic Woolerton and I am a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) employed by Lincolnshire Police. I have been covering the Sleaford rural north neighbourhood policing team (NPT) since 2013 and prior to that covered Boston NPT for 6 years.
Over the last month changes have been made in the Sleaford NPT and PCSO Patrick- Welby – Everard will be moving to pastures new. He is due to move to Grantham Police Station at the end of November 2020. Patrick has been working on the Sleaford south rural beat for the past 16 years and he will be missed by us all at Sleaford.
Due to the current staffing levels it will only be myself and PCSO Colin Ironmonger, (part time) covering the whole of the rural villages around Seaford town centre. This is a large geographical area and covers 39 villages and hamlets. Colin has been working the south rural beats for the past 17 years and since 2017 been part time and a font of all knowledge about the area. Myself and Colin will be out patrolling your village, attending schools, and carrying out speed checks (where possible) and assisting in any community issues that arise. We work closely with the road safety partnership and assist with the community speedwatch groups attending road side sessions. If you would like more information on the community speedwatch, myself and Colin are able to deliver the training to volunteers in the village. (Post COVID -19 restrictions) so please get in touch.
Neighbourhood Watch and Lincs Alert schemes has discontinued and is now replaced by a scheme called Next door. You can register for free on nextdoor.co.uk and receive community/crime updates and alerts for your village. Crime stats for your village and crime prevention advice can be found on POLICE.UK Type your village/street name to find reported crime states for your community you can view this as much as you wish.
Sleaford Police also have a facebook page, Sleaford Police which is regularly updated.
